Ok. i'm starting over again. I get a nice video to play back in active movie window. Good. I get the text and a song playing. I couln't get the video to play while I'm working on the text and editing... so I just went forward hoping it would render correctly. Nope. I get a black background and the words are ok, and the video will still play simultaneously in the active movie window, but it is quite independent of the Karaoke file. The video is racing fast in a seperate window with no lyrics and no sound. The sound and the lyrics are playing in the editor.
If this ever comes together it will be pretty good, but it sure is a convoluted way to get production going.

no kidding I'm looking to do the same thing us my own videos as back drops I mean the ones that come with karafun and the ones you can d/L are ok but I would like to do some of my own
