Export file problem - question

Postby John » Thu Dec 27, 2007 6:19 pm

I have successfully synced a file in the .kfn format (added a song mp3, and the lyrics to it), subsequently, I have exported it to both wma & wav files - unsuccessfully. The lyrics do not show up after the export(s), am I doing something wrong, maybe missing a step, or is this a bug. Could any knowledgible users shed some light? Thanks for your time and attention; all.

WMA & WAV are audio only exports. You only export the audio data, so no lyrics.

Hi, I just joined.

I used the export a KFN file to WMA today for the first time and it did actually show the background picture and lyrics........ BUT, both picture and lyrics were all distorted. The music was 100% OK.

I thought maybe this was because I was on a free version of Karafun, so am greatly amazed that you are saying it is only capable of a sound file transfer.

In that case I do not think I will be buying the software. I want to be able to take files to play on a friend's computer without having to install a player.

I also want to be able to play them on a DVD disc. Any ideas on that?

Karafun Studio

Karafun Studio does a fine job of exporting to AVI files. You can chose the quality of your output. If you look under Software/features, it shows that only the studio has this capability.

I have the studio and am very happy with it.

WMA and WAV are audio only formats. KaraFun can also export to AVI and WMV formats, which are video formats. But if you export video with the freeware version, the output resolution will be limited to 160*120, which is unsuitable for any purpose except to test that the video export functions properly. In the paid for ( studio ) version, the output resolution is not limited.

Thanks for your responses.

I was considering buying the Studio version, but wanted to make sure it would export properly.

It would have been a better selling point to have the Freeware version export properly, but cut off after 30 seconds or so.

Am I the only one here who can't export a KaraFun project to WMV?

The program immediately shuts down when I click to export to WMV. I can export to AVI ok. I'm using a Windows XP computer.
