I'm so new at this I havent even had a chance to download the software.

What's Everyone's Ideal setup for home use?

I play guitar and sing in a band so I was planning on setting mine up with my PA system off my laptop. This way I'm singing directly in the PA instead of the laptop.

Any problems with this? Anyone else try this? Whats your fav. setup?

Hi Hockey37.

I have exactly that set up. All songs on my laptop, a PA speaker with input for the sound from the laptop and mic sockets. In addition I have a SVGA cable from laptop to TV for extra large graphics etc! (50" TV).

The only other addition was to purchase VHF cordless microphones. The receiver sits on the speaker with no probs and it saves it all going flying at party time!

The only issue I did have was background hum from the laptop. Tried various suppressors but in the end I found that experimenting with the cables greatly reduced that. Still slight noise but hardly noticable now.

I have purchased the studio version of Karafun as I wanted to make my own animated backgrounds, but for playing either version will do. Fantastic prog!
